Transitioning to a 3.1 program was not in my original discharge plan – I wanted to go home. Little did I know that this option would save my life. It only took a few days of being in the house for me to understand how important this step is to my long-term recovery. I would not be who I am today had I chosen to go home. Home to me means drugs and alcohol and the potential for crime. That is not what I want for my life.

Having the option to attend outpatient mental health therapy with Therapeutic Solutions was a game changer when I was a resident in Homes4Hope LLC’s house. Although I was given options to attend outpatient at other places, it felt good that the counselors at Therapeutic Solutions worked as a team with my counselors at the house for my benefit. I have played those games with counselors before – not being honest with everyone- and it only hurt me. This time was different. everyone- and it only hurt me. This time was different.
